Dr. Nancy Donahoe
I have been a patient of Dr. Donahoe since 1998. I have never met a doctor with the concern and compassion as Dr. Donahoe has for her patients. In 1999, Dr. Donahoe put a pig valve in my heart. All is well and still working as it should. Two years ago I lost my right leg, I was advised Dr. Donahoe worked for hours trying to save my leg, but the leg couldn't be saved.
My sister in law had Dr. Donahoe put a bovine valve in her heart. The operation started at 8am due to complications Dr. Donahoe was there until 5pm because of her concern for my sister in law. She didn't leave until she knew everything was ok. I would recommend Dr. Donahoe and her group to anyone.

Dr. Demetri Mavroidis
I would recommend Dr. Mavroidis to everyone as a heart surgeon. Dr. Mavroidis is an angel from God. He replaced my mitral valve two months ago and also closed a hole between the chambers. He told my husband right after surgery that my old valve looked like a volcano had exploded there and wasn't doing any of the work it was supposed to. I still have a hard time believing that I have been through such major surgery. Six days after the surgery the doctors were ready to discharge me when I experienced a side effect - atrial fibrillation, which I now have medication to correct. My numbers seem to be improving all the time. I am so grateful to Dr. Mavroidis for his skillful work. When the doctor's cut back on my pain pills, I felt so good that I did not have to ask for any more - no chest pains. I did have to ask for Tylenol for my upper gums because I had a hard time chewing with my upper dentures and they told me this was possibly from biting down so hard on the tube in my mouth during surgery. I have not experienced any pain after coming home either and it is almost unbelievable that I have had such a serious surgery. I am now driving again and feel great.
My husband had a double bypass surgery three years ago performed by Dr. Mavroidis, as well as Maze procedure for his atrial fibrillation problem. Today my husband does not have any problems with his heart and does not have to take Coumadin anymore.
