The physicians of Cardiovascular Surgery of Southern Nevada (CSSN) have specialized training in cardiac, vascular, thoracic and endovascular surgery. Each surgeon obtained his or her undergraduate degree, went to medical school and then spent a minimum of seven years after medical school training in surgery before becoming board certified in the specialty of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Board certification with the American Board of Thoracic Surgery consists of both written and oral examinations initially and then annual continuing education to maintain skills and certification.

CSSN surgeons are progressive and like to keep on the cutting edge of what is new in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. By attending annual continuing education and specialty training classes in new procedures such as minimally invasive valve surgery, our surgeons are leaders in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in the Las Vegas community.

CSSN physicians have combined experience of more than 80 years performing surgery and have done approximately 135,000 procedures between them. In addition to their vast knowledge and experience, our surgeons often work together on procedures that are difficult or unusual so patients always receive the best care possible.

Our surgeons partner with hospitals where we do surgery to ensure quality care for our patients. Each of our surgeons serves in some advisory capacity at the hospitals so they are involved in the process of quality care and quality improvement.
